Victorian Awnings Recovered & Refurbished at Billingsgate Market
These four fabulous Victorian awnings, at the famous Billingsgate Market, did not look like this a few weeks ago. When we were originally asked to attend site, the awnings were in a sorry state with ripped covers, and front laths almost broken in two.
Most awning companies would have just said “scrap and replace” but, at the Commercial Awning Company, we try to avoid unnecessary waste re-using components wherever possible.
New laths were manufactured by our carpentry department and fresh ocean colour covers were branded with appropriate text. The Victorian awning fixings were all carefully checked when the awnings were re-installed.
